1988 - Irgendwo in der SSKR, der Sozialistischen Stein Knopf Republik:
Der Traditionszug der Transgelosischen Eisenbahn ist endlich wieder einsatzfähig.
Jahrelang hatte die Feierabendbrigade des Bahnbetriebswerks Bricknograd hart gearbeitet und das letzte erhaltene Exemplar dieser legendären Züge aus den 30er Jahren wieder restauriert.
1988- Somewhere in the SSSR, the Socialistic Stone Stud Republic:
The traditional train of the Transgelosian Railway is finally serviceable again.
For years the leisure-time-brigade of the railway working station of Bricknograd had been working hardly and had restored the last conserved copy of this legendary trains from the 30th.

| Dieser Luxuszug war schon früher für seine exotische Farbgebung berühmt.
Even in former times this luxury train was famous for its exotic colours.

| Leider war Farbe - wie immer - Mangelware in Bricknograd, so daß man nicht alle Waggons in der gleichen Farbe lackieren konnte :-(
Unfortunately paint was - like always - a very rare good in Bricknograd, so that one could not paint all waggons in the same colour :-(

| So nahm man die schönsten Farben, die verfügbar waren und lackierte jeden Waggon in einer anderen Farbe.
So one took the most beautiful colours which were available and painted each waggon in a different colour.

| Die alte riesige Dampflokomotive war beim Testen explodiert, nun mußte man eine kleine häßliche Lok aus der Fabrik Shopovska Hominskij nehmen und jeder fürchtete den schwierigsten Teil der Strecke:
Die Überquerung des schroffen und zerklüfteten Gelo-Gebirges am Eingang zu Gelosistan.
The old huge steam locomotive was exploded on testing it, now one have to take just a tiny ugly loco from the factory of Shopovska Hominskij and everybody feared the most difficult part of the track:
The crossing of the cleft and rugged Gelo-Mountains at the entrance to Gelosistan.

Zum Glück war vor einiger Zeit der Gringotts-Tunnel eröffnet worden, so daß man nicht die gefährliche, alte Passstrecke befahren mußte.
Der Tunnel war nach den Anfangsbuchstaben der Arbeiter benannt worden, die beim Bau des Tunnels ums Leben gekommen waren:
Grigori, Rostislav, Ivan, Nikolaij, Georgij, Oleg, Taras, Timofei und Svicziszlav
Fortunately the Gringotts-Tunnel had been opened some times ago, so one had not to ride the dangerous old pass route.
The tunnel was called after the fornames of the workers who died while building the tunnel:
Grigori, Rostislav, Ivan, Nikolaij, Georgij, Oleg, Taras, Timofei and Svicziszlav

| Die Passtrecke wäre auch viel zu steil gewesen, denn nur die stärksten Dampfloks konnten diese Strecke früher befahren.
The pass route even would have been much to high, for just the strongest steam locomotives could ride this route in former times.

| Gerade als der Zug in den Tunnel einfahren wollte, da passierte es:
Ein riesiges Felsstück löste sich und zerschmetterte die kleine Lok.
Zum Glück konnte der Lokführer rechtzeitig abspringen und wie durch ein Wunder entgleiste auch keiner der Waggons!
Just before the train was riding into the tunnel, there it happened:
A huge piece of rock fell down and smashed the small loco.
The engine-driver could jump off just in time and it was like a wonder that no waggon got derailed!

| Die letzte Station war nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt, und einige Leute liefen zurück um Hilfe zu holen.
Von dort schickte man nun eine ältere Dieselrangierlok los, um den Zug zurück zum Bahnhof zu schleppen.
The last station was just a few kilometres apart and some people walked back to get help.
From there one ordered an older diesel shunter loco to haul the train back to the station.

| Aber was nun? Wie sollte der Zug weiterfahren? Der Tunnel war für Tage blockiert und es gab keine Lokomotive, die stark genug war, um die alten, massiven Waggons über den Pass zu ziehen.
But what now? How should the train went on? The tunnel was blocked for days and there was no locomotive which was strong enough to pull the old massive waggons over the pass.

Plötzlich ertönte starker Motorenlärm auf dem Abstellgleis ...
Suddenly a heavy motor noise sounds at the sidetrack...

| Es war der erste Prototyp der Baureihe T3M7A, die hier, in dem verschlafenen Städtchen Hattoshomsk auf Betriebstauglichkeit getestet wurde und wieder mal eine Testfahrt machen sollte.
It was the first prototype of the model T3M7A, which was tested here, in the sleepy town of Hattohomsk, for service ability and should do next testing ride.

| Schnell war klar, daß dies die Chance sein würde, die volle Leistung dieser neuartigen Konstruktion zu beweisen.
Instantly one realized that this would be the chance for prooving the full power of this novel construction.

| Das Ankuppeln an die alten Waggons klappte hervorragend.
The coupling to the old waggons worked excellently.

Und zum zweiten Mal ging die Fahrt zum Gelo-Gebirge.
And for a second time the trip went to the Gelo-Mountains.

| Die mächtige Maschine zog die schweren Waggons mühelos die steile, mit Pfeilern aus Granit und Sandstein abgestützte Passtrecke hinauf.
The mighty engine easly pulled the heavy waggons up the steep and with supports of granite and sandstone mounted pass-track.

| Auch die letzte, enge Kurve am Burplurpov-Eck meisterte die T3M7A-001 ohne Probleme!
Also the last narrow curve at the Burplurpov's Corner the T3M7A-001 took without any problems!

| Geschafft! Die erste Fahrt mit dem restaurierten Traditionszug der Transgelosischen Eisenbahn, kombiniert mit der stärksten Diesellok der SSKR wurde trotz einiger Hindernisse am Gelo-Gebirge 1988 zum vollen Erfolg!
Ready! The first ride of the restored traditional train of the Transgelosian Railway, combined with the strongest diesel locomotive of the SSSR became a great success in spite of some trouble at the Gelo-Mountains!
